Mechanical Labor Specialist

RQ Construction, a leading player in the commercial and government industry on the East Coast, is seeking skilled Mechanical General Laborer candidates for its Norfolk Naval Shipyard project in Portsmouth, Virginia. As a Mechanical Labor Specialist, you will be responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor using hand and power tools.
Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing sites, removing rubble and debris, and assisting other craft workers in their duties. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and two or more years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with government, military, or large commercial construction experience.
A competitive salary of $22.00 - 27.00 per hour will be offered, along with medical, dental, vision, and 401(K) benefits. To qualify, candidates must have CPR and First Aid Certifications, as well as specific training or certificates in fall protection, scissor lift/boom lift operation, OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour, and confined space entry.
