Wind Technician I

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wind Technician I to join our team at Takkion Ops Management LLC. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for working on wind turbines and ensuring their safe operation.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, installing, maintaining, operating, and repairing wind turbines. They must have excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect equipment and tools daily to ensure safe use.
- Participate in morning safety meetings to discuss potential hazards and procedures.
- Climb towers to inspect, troubleshoot, or repair turbine equipment.
- Test electrical components and systems, as well as mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions.
- Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have a valid ID.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Be able to climb on a ladder system with tools and equipment to a height of at least 260 feet.
- Be able to wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Have at least one year of related maintenance experience.
- Hold an active GWO Basic Safety Training certificate (preferred).
