Job Summary

This is a full-time opportunity for a Senior JIRA Administrator to join our team at firstPRO, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all JIRA UI Admin tasks, handling activities involved with scrum masters and program managers, and working closely with scrum teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all JIRA UI Admin tasks, including project creation, team/board creation, custom fields, custom field values, reports, workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Handle activities involved with scrum masters and program managers to assist with process standardization.
  • Work closely with scrum teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, and identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests.
  • Define and lead the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Refine current JIRA processes to be more streamlined and uniform for agile teams.
  • Drive results by troubleshooting issues, connecting with scrum masters, and continuing to improve support processes.
  • Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes.
  • Provide JIRA domain expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA.
  • Help in designing Jira-based reports, dashboards, and planning views based on different user requirements.
  • Review the standard operating procedures for repetitive tasks and activities and help manage the technical and/or user-facing documentation for training.
  • Responsible for creating, managing, and supporting all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite, including Jira Software on the Cloud, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Exposure and some experience in REST API, JQL, AQL, Forge development, JIRA APIs, and webhooks is an added advantage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 2-4 years of Atlassian suite of products and applications development and administrative experience, including JIRA, Confluence, Analytics, Assets, Product Data Manager tool, Automation, Script Runner, etc.
  • Overall 2-4 years of experience in the IT field.
  • Exposure and some experience in REST API, JQL, AQL, Forge development, JIRA APIs, and webhooks is an added advantage.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience in Cloud computing environments, Databases, Servers, etc.
  • Troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
