Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Linux systems with a solid grasp of PowerShell.
  • Proficiently navigate the Linux command line, including directory changes, file creation, and permission settings.
  • Develop and modify configuration files tailored to unique requirements.
  • Employ beginner to intermediate scripting and automation techniques, especially in configuration management and server orchestration.
  • Implement security protocols and best practices for Linux operating systems.
  • Maintain and update on-premises infrastructure, including software repositories.
  • Administer and comprehend anti-virus solutions, NTP, DNS, and DHCP services.
  • Exhibit fundamental networking knowledge, encompassing ports and protocols.
  • Establish and manage web servers, with a solid understanding of server and networking hardware.
  • Utilize ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent to assist engineering teams in developing solutions from inception.
Required Qualifications:
  • 11+ years of pertinent experience.
  • Proficient in Linux and PowerShell administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Linux command line and configuration file management.
  • Experience in scripting, automation, and server orchestration.
  • Familiarity with security standards, anti-virus solutions, and fundamental networking.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and supporting engineering teams.
  • BA/BS Degree or five or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in creating, testing, and maintaining diverse environments (test, development, production).
  • Experience in troubleshooting network and application issues.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering both program and user-level documentation.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Ansible is advantageous.
