Frye Regional Medical Center, a 355-bed hospital in Hickory, NC, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Radiation Therapy team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to making communities healthier by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Assess patients' physical and mental health, including their reaction to illnesses and treatment regimens.\
  • Record and report the results of nursing assessments.\
  • Plan, initiate, deliver, and evaluate appropriate nursing acts.\
  • Teach, assign, delegate to or supervise other personnel in implementing treatment regimens.\
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine patient care, but do not prescribe medical treatment regimens or make medical diagnoses.\
  • Implement prescribed treatment and pharmaceutical regimens.\
  • Provide patient education and counseling.\
  • Supervise, teach, and evaluate those who perform or are preparing to perform nursing functions.\
  • Ensure safe and effective nursing care.\
  • Maintain attendance records and adhere to communication policies.\
  • Comply with core measure initiatives, patient safety goals, and NQF Safe Practices.\
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Compensation Package:

\

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000-$115,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, benefits include basic life support certification within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within six months of hire, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree. One year of Med/Surg experience is preferred, as is ASLS certification.
