Job Title: Medical Correctional Nursing Specialist

About the Job:
This role involves providing nursing care to patients in a correctional setting under the supervision of a Physician or Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent experience, preferably in corrections, with a valid State nursing license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities:
Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure)
Applying and changing dressings
Administering medications and injections
Implementing medical plans through administering medications and interventions as per physician instructions
Documenting nursing encounters, patient responses, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicating information to supervisory personnel and physicians as per physician orders
Observing, recording, and reporting symptoms, reactions, and changes in the condition of all patients
