Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Volunteers of America Northern Rockies. As a key member of our residential facility, you will provide essential support and supervision to clients, helping them achieve their treatment goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group support, skills training, and supervision to clients as outlined in their treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records and documentation, adhering to our organization's policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate daily facility operations, including monitoring, walkthroughs, and room searches, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Transport clients to access services and appointments as authorized by program needs and treatment plans.
  • Administer drug and alcohol screens/tests as needed and authorized by clinical staff or primary therapists.
  • Participate as a team member of the client's care team, utilizing assessments and interventions to support client success.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid certification
  • MANDT certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness and/or substance use problems
  • Experience working with individuals in crisis
  • Experience working in residential service environments
Work Environment

This position operates in a residential facility environment, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and external agencies.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include regular talking and hearing, with specific vision abilities required for close vision and adjusting focus. The position also requires lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Travel

Some travel is required for this position, with the ability to transport clients to access services and appointments as authorized by program needs and treatment plans.
