Job Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Engine Project & Engineering teams, you will play a critical role in designing, assessing, and launching GE's next generation of products aimed at reducing emissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model novel and derivative propulsion systems to optimize performance and efficiency
  • Execute design space trade studies to identify optimal solutions
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses of each concept to inform GE's strategic focus areas and customer requirements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end propulsion system feasibility
  • Communicate with leadership to shape the future propulsion strategy
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 7 years of experience in an aero-thermal and/or performance-based engineering position
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with engine cycle modeling, or component aero design
  • Experience with NPSS, Python, C++ or similar programming languages
  • Excited about propulsion and the aero-thermodynamic disciplines
  • Prior experience working with global cross-functional teams
