We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Four Oaks Family & Children Services. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks, and adhering to our Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support (RRTS) policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality customer service through phone coverage, using approved scripts and following proper procedures for inquiry calls.
  • Process background checks, including in-state, out-of-state, and fingerprints, accurately, completely, and timely, documenting results and scanning/releases into the database.
  • Process relative and ICPC home study referrals accurately, completely, and timely, following established protocols and communicating with service area and HHS regarding request receipt and Day 1.
  • Distribute RRTS mail.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to other Customer Service staff members as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality for potential and current families at all times.
  • Register prospective Resource Families for pre-service training in accordance with contract and IAC.
  • Work to ensure Resource Family "flow" from inquiry to pre-service start moves as rapidly and smoothly as possible, working closely with each individual prospective Resource Family to complete all application and background check requirements.
  • Provide culturally responsive assistance to prospective Resource Families, including through the provision of language interpreters as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work OR a related field with one year of full-time experience in a related field.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED and the equivalent of one-year full-time experience in social work or other human service delivery position.
