Job Title: Bank Internal Audit Manager

At Crowe, we are seeking an experienced Bank Internal Audit Manager to join our Consulting Financial Services practice. This role offers a unique opportunity to help our clients transform their governance, risk management, and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide risk management, internal audit, and internal control services to clients in the banking industry.
  • Assist in planning and managing staff on engagements, including reviewing staff workpapers and providing feedback and guidance to staff.
  • Conduct fieldwork, prepare workpapers to support conclusions, discuss findings and observations with management, and prepare written reports of various types and formats.
  • Involved in providing clients with advice to improve and optimize internal controls, enhance, and transform internal audit approach and methodologies and performing risk assessments.
  • Provide other value-added recommendations both to our clients and to help improve the firm.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business, or Economics with an Accounting Minor or emphasis.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuing these certifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal audit, internal controls assessment, and/or Sox 404 evaluation and testing.
  • Exposure to larger financial institutions ($5 billion and up) preferred.
  • Prior experience should include progressive responsibilities, including supervising and reviewing the work of others, and project management, including self-management of simultaneous work-streams and responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension both formally and informally to our clients and our teams, in a variety of formats and settings.
  • Internal control design and effectiveness understanding.
  • Business process flow and flowcharting.
  • GAAP financial accounting and SEC Reporting.
  • Networking and relationship management.
