Job Summary

As a key member of our Engineering & Fabrication Support Team, you will be responsible for managing raw material receipt, inventory management, and control. You will also lead and optimize our shop floor consumable material management process, calibrated tool management process, and support 6S & Lean Process improvements for the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage raw material receipt, inventory management, and control
  • Lead and optimize shop floor consumable material management process
  • Lead calibrated tool management process
  • Support 6S & Lean Process improvements for the facility
  • Maintain operating policies documentation to ensure compliance with Command Media requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize operational processes and procedures to support efficient operation
  • Support Lab Process Audits as required
Requirements
  • Active/current driver's license and ability to learn to drive a forklift
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the operation of bandsaws and general machining & fabrication shop machinery
  • Raw material (metals, hardware, chemicals) knowledge and handling experience
  • Ability to coordinate and support machinist/model makers and staff by providing precut raw material in support of developmental hardware machining operations
  • Ability to receive, store/retrieve, identify, mark, track raw material consumption and allocation, to facilitate raw material replenishment
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques and methods (process, product & procedure)
  • Experienced with computers & Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to take on the development of manufacturing operations processes & procedures
Desired Skills
  • Current active forklift certification with Lockheed Martin Corporation
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes
  • Technical knowledge of different types of materials (e.g. aluminum, stainless steel, titanium)
  • Knowledge of measuring tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers, thread gages)
