Join Our Team as an Experienced Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to leverage their skills and expertise to drive financial success in our organization.



About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the finance and accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. You will work closely with vendors, project managers, and other departments to maintain accurate financial records and support our operations.



Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Process and review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approval.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, and prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain vendor files and manage vendor communications, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting, providing accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Accounts Payable Experience: 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with a strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor management.
  • Reconciliation Skills: 3 years of experience in reconciliation, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and account management.
  • Construction Industry Knowledge: 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of project management, vendor management, and financial reporting.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Work Experience: 3 years of work experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of financial transactions, account management, and vendor management.


What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, an incentive and recognition program, and 401K contribution (all benefits are based on eligibility).
