Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support for the development and performance of aluminum packaging for food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the development and qualification of aluminum specifications and materials.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expertise and guidance to production facilities, division management, and suppliers on aluminum materials and packaging.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Technical Center, production facilities, and suppliers to identify and develop new materials and packaging solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Investigate and resolve metal-related quality and performance issues.
  • Supplier Management: Coordinate trials and provide on-site management of qualification activity.
  • Process Improvement: Support ongoing improvement in plant performance through hands-on technical support and best practice transfer.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in engineering, materials science, metallurgy, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in materials development and/or metal manufacturing, packaging manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  • Experience in aluminum, tinplate/steel, and/or tooling materials and their bulk properties and surface properties is a significant advantage.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and as an individual.
  • Self-motivated and eager to take the initiative, with a commitment to ongoing personal development and career growth.
Working Conditions:
  • Will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting in a plant environment as well as in an office.
  • May be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
  • May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
  • The noise level is frequently loud.
