The Lead IT Compliance Auditor will be responsible for executing a range of IT and operational evaluations while supporting the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) compliance initiatives, including frameworks such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), SSAE16, HIPAA, and HITRUST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of audit planning documentation for all assigned IT and Integrated audits.
  • Implement a diverse array of audit procedures, conduct detailed analyses, and interpret findings against established objectives.
  • Document pertinent facts and information to substantiate the work conducted and conclusions reached, ensuring that other reviewers can follow the auditor's reasoning and methodology.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of information systems, internal control principles, and IT risks; effectively evaluate deficiencies, gaps, or other issues identified, and formulate recommendations that are suitable, practical, and cost-efficient. Communicate audit outcomes and suggestions to the lead auditor for assessment and discussion with business stakeholders.
  • Complete tasks with minimal guidance within time constraints, showcasing effective time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Foster teamwork and accountability with engagement team members.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify and validate potential issues; facilitate the creation of suitable remediation plans and timelines in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the current IT landscape and industry trends relevant to the company's IT operations, utilizing contemporary technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
  • Provide or assist in delivering training, coaching, and guidance to internal audit personnel regarding audit execution and related matters.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners and deliver a high level of service through positive interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related area.
  • Familiarity with SOX, HIPAA, HITRUST, and SSAE16 audits and controls.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility with business partners.
  • Capability to engage with various management levels within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A desire to create a positive impact, with the ability to manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to pursue IT Audit-related certifications.

Job Prerequisites:

  • Experience in IT internal auditing.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical sector, IT security, or public accounting.
  • Experience in managed healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • CISA, CPA, and/or CIA certification is preferred.
