Patient Service Coordinator Ambulatory I

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator Ambulatory I to join our team at Hennepin Healthcare. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experience, ensuring seamless registration and scheduling processes, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcome patients and guests in a friendly and professional manner, adhering to our "I am Welcomed" standard workflow.
- Provide navigation assistance to patients and guests, ensuring they receive the necessary support and information.
- Utilize the electronic health record accurately and efficiently to perform patient check-in, point of service collections, registration, and patient check-out.
- Verify insurance accuracy through Real Time Eligibility and Benefit Engine.
- Ensure personal workspace and patient waiting areas are neat and sanitized.
- Handle patient financial transactions, including cash box, cash collections, credit/debit card transactions, and daily reconciliation.
- Promote the organization and assist in maintaining clinic efficiency.
- Check-out patients, provide scheduling support for contracted providers, and assist with requests and urgent needs.
- Manage special patient needs upon request and maintain Clerical Pool In-basket messages.
- Receive and create encounters for medical forms and deliver them to the clinical team.
- Assist with processing time-sensitive patient needs, such as patient forms, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a related field and/or six months of Front of House experience.
- One year of customer service experience.
