Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Fabrication Machine Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the transformation processes of sheet metal and copper within a manufacturing environment focused on switchgear and transfer switches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machinery essential for fabrication tasks, including punch and press brake machines, under the guidance of the Fabrication lead.
  • Review and interpret product specifications and mechanical drawings to execute assigned processes effectively.
  • Utilize basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, to support operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of sophisticated tasks.
  • Understand and lead mechanical diagrams and drawings while operating computers to retrieve necessary programs.
  • Employ basic hand tools such as drills, saws, tape measures, calipers, and measuring squares to achieve precise fabrication results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Be prepared to work overtime, including weekends, as production demands arise.
  • Adhere to safe working practices at all times.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings accurately.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Experience with basic tools and machinery.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a fabrication role is advantageous.
