The perfect candidate has a robust background as a leading editor and principal writer in lifestyle publications (such as Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, Martha Stewart) and has collaborated with renowned brands like Madewell, Warby Parker, J.Crew, and Kate Spade.

Key Responsibilities:

Seasonal Campaign Development

  • Craft messaging strategies that cascade from overarching campaign themes to specific service and promotional examples.
  • Produce seasonal presentation decks for internal teams and external agencies to facilitate execution.
  • Develop comprehensive storytelling for multi-channel campaign engagement.

Marketing Calendar Management

  • Generate seasonal narratives for the marketing homepage and email calendar.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to identify necessary storytelling assets.
  • Conceptualize and organize all email content in partnership with marketing and merchandising teams.
  • Work alongside social and content teams on a shared calendar and collaborative ideas.
  • Review and refine subject lines and content for emails.

Brand Messaging

  • Establish the tone and language for marketing materials, crafting positioning messages that clarify services.
  • Define, name, and communicate new product brands entering the market.
  • Supervise the creation of SKU descriptions to enhance customer comprehension.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a leading editor and principal writer in lifestyle publications (such as Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, Martha Stewart) and experience with brands like Madewell, Warby Parker, J.Crew, and Kate Spade.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently within operational constraints (timing, budgets, etc.), managing ambiguity while guiding the team to achieve excellence within defined parameters.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a matrixed environment involving diverse stakeholders.
  • Capability to transform concepts into completed projects.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000, with actual compensation determined by experience and other legally permissible factors.
