Director of Development Opportunity

The North Dakota State University Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Development to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects and donors to support the university's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to secure leadership and major gifts
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of constituents, including alumni, friends, companies, and charitable foundations
  • Collaborate with university leadership and fellow development officers to maximize fundraising production and enhance donor relations
  • Travel nationally to cultivate and solicit major gifts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of four years of experience in major gift, planned gift, leadership gift development, or similar comparable professional experience
  • Strong analytical skills, high level of integrity, dependability, and sound judgment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead and motivate volunteers, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to building teams
