Computed Tomography Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging, to provide high-quality patient care.
- Support other imaging technologists as needed and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Evaluate patient clinical contrast history and potential contraindications to ensure safe and effective imaging procedures.
- Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Interact effectively with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures, ensuring a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
- Accurately code and enter charges for imaging procedures.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's core values.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
- 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT required.
- Current state licensure and BLS certification required.
