Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging procedures, to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Interact effectively with patients and other care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, neat, and adequately stocked prior to exams, and maintain infection control standards.
  • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
  • Current state licensure and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
