Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet the expectations of our organization's competencies, including leadership and communication skills.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including complex imaging tasks, to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain intravenous access and utilize high-speed injection equipment.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and care providers to prioritize procedures and maintain continuity of care.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for imaging procedures.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate individual needs and preferences.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT and current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
