Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Support Specialist at Change Incorporated

This position entails delivering a variety of supportive services to individuals within both home and community environments. Our clients gain from services provided through diverse programs, including elder assistance, mental health care, recovery support, and in-home services for those with developmental disabilities or ABI.

  • Engaging in meaningful conversations with clients while offering essential support and companionship.
  • Building and sustaining a constructive and supportive rapport through effective communication.
  • Guiding and aiding individuals in meeting their recovery plan objectives.
  • Submitting daily progress updates to supervisors and agency representatives.
  • Accompanying clients to medical appointments and social engagements specified in their recovery plans.
  • Carrying out light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience working with ABI clients or possession of ILST Certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in direct healthcare or a strong background in customer service.
  • Dependable and responsible with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
