Key Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll operations for Ministry Accounting Services, including processing new hire documentation for all client employees, verifying tax payments and reporting, entering payroll journal entries into accounting software, and detailing benefits and tax allowances for each employee.
  • Adhere to established standard operating procedures for all accounting service processes.
  • Maintain documentation of correspondence and scan mailings using the appropriate WatersEdge software.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Ministry Accounting Services to discuss the progress, challenges, and achievements of the program.

Position Classification and Requirements

  • This is a full-time, nonexempt role.
  • As a religious organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Consequently, this position necessitates active membership in a Southern Baptist church or a faith-aligned evangelical church that upholds the Bible as the foundation of its faith and practice.

Work Environment

  • This role typically operates within an office environment but may occasionally require duties outside the standard office setting.
  • Travel and vehicle operation may be necessary.
