Job Overview

Salary: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Kids World Learning Center is on the lookout for a motivated individual who can work designated hours before and after school. The required time slots are from 6:45 am to 8:45 am and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

We are in search of a vibrant before/after-school educator to contribute to our after-school program. In this position, you will be responsible for supervising and organizing daily activities, preparing educational materials, and assisting students with their homework. Additionally, you will create progress reports to keep parents informed about their child's academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, preparing, and executing an approved educational curriculum.
  • Supervising daily lesson plans and activities aimed at enhancing children's social and motor skills.
  • Supporting children with their assignments and homework in subjects like reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Preparing educational materials and resources, including books, arts and crafts supplies, stationery, and other necessary items.
  • Engaging with children to provide guidance, emotional support, and encouragement to complete their tasks.
  • Generating monthly or quarterly progress reports to track children's academic and personal development.
  • Conducting meetings with parents to discuss their children's performance and areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and clean classroom environment, ensuring appropriate student behavior.
  • Ensuring compliance with all school rules, policies, and guidelines within the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a role such as after-school teacher, teaching assistant, or similar position.
  • Ability to create a fun and safe learning environment.
  • Strong understanding of child behavior and learning patterns.
  • Capability to work effectively with children while remaining friendly, calm, and patient.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to establish rules and guidelines for children to follow.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a tidy classroom.
