Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assistance: Support healthcare providers with essential clinical tasks, including gathering medical histories and aiding in physical assessments.
  • Patient Liaison: Serve as a communication bridge between patients, healthcare providers, and other medical staff.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer vaccines and medications as directed.
  • Documentation: Input patient information into the electronic health record system.
  • Specimen Collection: Collect samples for laboratory testing.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program or a minimum of two years of relevant experience within the last five years.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in using computers and keyboarding.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment utilized in outpatient care settings.
  • Current CPR certification from an accredited organization.
  • Willingness to travel locally to various healthcare sites as required.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations and challenging environments.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a constantly changing workplace.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with others.
  • Capacity to make informed and timely decisions, with flexibility to work rotating shifts throughout the week.
  • Physical capability to assist with patient lifting and transfer activities, including the ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently. For heavier lifts, appropriate equipment and assistance from colleagues should be utilized.
