Position Overview

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is in search of a dedicated Medical Director to lead our Medical Management Services Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality medical and psychiatric care. The Medical Director will establish and maintain a proficient medical staff to fulfill the needs of both the department and the organization.

The individual will engage directly with clients, emphasizing research-driven practices and exceptional service. This position involves providing clinical and psychiatric guidance across various programs within the agency, collaborating closely with executive leadership and community partners as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and enhancement of medical services, identifying opportunities for growth and program expansion.
  • Monitor the evolving landscape of mental health delivery and reimbursement systems, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all accreditation and certification standards for medical management services, including pharmacological and medication services.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician in the State of Ohio, board-certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (ABPN). Experience in managing healthcare professionals, familiarity with managed care environments, and a background in quality improvement are essential. A valid DEA license is required, and additional certifications, such as current CPR, are preferred.

Proficiency in technical skills, including Microsoft Windows and standard Microsoft Office applications, is necessary. Experience with electronic medical records and telehealth services is also expected.
