Vendor Payment Clerk

Job Summary
The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Vendor Payment Clerk to join the Office of Fiscal Operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for receiving and logging invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring payment requests from vendors are correct.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data entry functions using the Financial Management System (FMS) to create payment vouchers in accordance with NYS Comptroller's Directives and FISA training materials.
- Review vendor invoices to ensure mathematical accuracy, proper authorizing signatures, and required documentation.
- Ensure quantities certified as received by HRA program personnel match quantities billed.
Requirements
- A four-year high school diploma or its equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization.
- One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
- Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS).
