About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to join our team at Citizens. As a key member of our Middle Market team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, providing them with expert advice and guidance on their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Work closely with our Portfolio Management team to proactively serve the needs of our clients, while expanding relationships and growing the overall portfolio.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your expertise in credit matters and financial analysis to add value to our clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a wide range of commercial banking products and services to our clients.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' industries and markets, staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience in Commercial Banking and Middle Market Business Management.
  • Successful history and experience in the Long Island market.
  • Proven track record of success in soliciting, selling, developing, servicing, and structuring a wide range of secured and unsecured commercial financings, including complex transactions.
  • Excellent credit skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and understand financial statements and credit issues quickly.
  • Strong sales skills, with the ability to handle difficult and sensitive client relationships and negotiate complex transactions.
  • Highly skilled in financial modeling and able to structure credit in a modeling environment.
  • Ability to independently assess business risk, taking into consideration capital structures and industry nuances as applicable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and persuasively present thoughts and ideas.
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • FINRA Licensing (Series 79, 63, SIE) required.
Work Schedule
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Monday - Friday.
