Position Summary

The individual in this role will oversee the operational aspects of the Civic Committee's events and membership activities. This includes the comprehensive planning, development, management, and execution of various programs and events throughout the year. Key responsibilities also encompass managing the Salesforce database, tracking membership metrics, and updating online resources with relevant membership information.

This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and skill development, particularly for those eager to learn about the nonprofit sector and engage with senior leaders from major employers in the region. The successful candidate will leverage technology to enhance the membership experience and will need to demonstrate proficiency with various software tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the preparation for meetings and events, including venue coordination, material preparation, vendor management, and attendance tracking.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and prepare speakers for events.
  • Manage essential administrative functions, including maintaining member records and processing financial transactions.
  • Draft and distribute communications, including emails, invitations, and surveys.
  • Support the creation of the annual Membership Directory, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of new programs and events that resonate with members.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data related to events and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in event planning within a corporate or nonprofit environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred, including the ability to generate reports and manage member access.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with members and stakeholders.
