Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Southwest Industrial Rigging.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires expertise in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various heavy equipment including mobile cranes, tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- To diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications, including engines, transmissions, clutches, suspensions, steering, fuel and ignition systems (gas and diesel), electrical systems, brakes, and A/C systems.
- Perform operational tests to verify malfunctions and confirm repairs once completed.
- Conduct required inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmission, and braking systems.
- Read and understand operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Complete required reports, timesheets, work orders, etc.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in hydraulics & diagnostics.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle systems: engine/controls, transmission, brakes, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to diagnose, adjust, and repair.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, generators, pressure washers, and air compressors.
- Experience with air brake systems, A/C systems, hydraulics, and electronics.
