Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role will involve providing exceptional customer service experiences when responding to and resolving customer inquiries and issues. You'll be responsible for updating member files, researching complex issues, and applying creative solutions to address member needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by identifying topics and types of assistance required
  • Update information on member files within CPS system
  • Research complex issues across multiple databases and resolve customer issues or partner with others to resolve escalated issues
  • Own issues through to resolution on behalf of members
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to address member needs
  • Address complex issues with awareness of when to refer situations to departments or leadership
  • Search systems for member information and process medical record payments
  • Create correspondence to be mailed and run reports in various systems
  • Cross-train and work in all processes as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 10+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience working in an office or professional setting
  • Ability to navigate a PC to open applications, send emails, conduct data entry, and learn complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm CST

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a moderate noise level due to representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity. The salary for this position is estimated at around $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
