The Customer Service Representative is a key role in empowering our customers to build, manage, and grow successful landscape businesses. As a representative of Horizon Distributors, you will be the face of the sales center and the primary point of contact for walk-ins, phone orders, and will-call service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, listening to their needs, and recommending product solutions.
  • Treat customers as business partners by upselling options and complimentary items to make their jobs easier and more profitable.
  • Collaborate with team members to sell Horizon's value and provide the best service and experience possible.
  • Prepare sales orders, assist customers in selecting and loading merchandise, and make follow-up calls to potential and existing customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and well-stocked sales center.
  • Assist in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer-service attitude and self-motivated personality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and think critically to identify solutions to problems.
  • Good computer and record-keeping skills, and aptitude to learn ever-evolving systems and processes.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move items that weigh up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Possess or obtain forklift certification.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Irrigation experience is a huge plus and knowledge in other landscape products is helpful.
