Compensation Overview:
$23.75 per hour (based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies).

Position Overview
Our Financial Services Consultants are approachable, results-driven, and passionate about assisting our clients in enhancing their financial well-being. In this role, you will gain invaluable knowledge in banking and finance while addressing customers' everyday financial needs. As a representative of the Commerce Bank brand, you will build and sustain enduring relationships not only with clients but also with colleagues and other departments within Commerce.

Your primary objective will be to identify the financial requirements of each client and inform them about solutions that meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Services Consultant, you will:
  • Receive comprehensive training, tools, and resources to ensure your success.
  • Educate clients on a range of retail products and digital solutions that enhance their banking experience.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Actively engage with clients to make tailored recommendations that align with their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and refer clients to specialists for complex financial requirements.
  • Communicate with clients both in person and through proactive outreach to ensure their financial needs are met.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn beyond your base salary through our performance-based incentive program.


Essential Functions:
  • Engage with clients in person and via phone to ensure their financial needs are addressed through needs-based discussions and sales fulfillment.
  • Actively listen, comprehend, and recommend products and services based on client needs to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Educate clients on various retail products and digital solutions that enhance their experience and contribute to sales objectives.
  • Ensure financial transactions are executed accurately and efficiently, complying with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Identify complex financial needs and refer clients to specialists when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience by easily connecting with clients in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations with a positive outlook that aligns with our culture and core values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales or customer service experience required.
  • Experience in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred.

This position may be filled as a Financial Services Consultant I or II, depending on experience and education.

For this role, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report that will disclose credit history.

Individuals expressing interest in this position will be asked to authorize that report.
