Job Overview

Position Summary: The Quality Improvement Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the quality enhancement initiatives within the Provider Network. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Quality Improvement and Contracts to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the quality improvement process for Residential and Purchased-Services Network Providers.
  • Engage in the contracting process, ensuring all providers comply with established terms and performance outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of services provided, including but not limited to out-of-home care, protective supervision, and independent living services.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of performance improvement plans, tracking results and reporting outcomes effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual agreements within the provider network.

Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of two years of experience in a health or social service organization, particularly in roles involving contractual compliance and client welfare. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in child-placing agencies.

Functional Competencies: The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Conducting program evaluations and compliance audits.
  • Reporting findings and making recommendations for service enhancements.
  • Coordinating training sessions for the provider network to ensure high standards of service delivery.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collect and analyze performance data for regular reporting to management.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with various stakeholders to optimize service quality.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the role.

Working Environment: The role involves interaction with clients, families, and service providers, requiring a high degree of emotional resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations. A valid driver's license is necessary for travel related to the position.
