Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Specialty Underwater Services (SUS) is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing project engineer and entry-level project management support in a marine construction and commercial diving environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide contract management support to Contracts Manager and Project Managers, including change orders, subcontracts, purchase orders, project schedules, client billings, and material pricing.
  • Participate in Bid to Job turnover meetings to understand project setup for job costing and revenue reporting.
  • Prepare submittals for the project, including material certifications, shop drawings, and other required documents.
  • Assist with the development of project schedules and updates as required.
  • Review accounts payable invoices for the project to ensure correct coding.
  • Assist in analyzing potential impacts to the job, including cost overruns, savings, quantity variances, material variances, and rework.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the Construction Industry is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Viewpoint, Heavy Job, Microsoft Office Suite, and related software.
