Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced IBMi RPG ILE Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the IBMi platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBMi platform.
• Programming: Create and maintain modular, scalable, and efficient RPG programs using RPG ILE and peripheral programs.
• Database Management: Work with SQL and Embedded SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and database maintenance.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with management, peers, business analysts, and SQA team members.
• Code Review and Optimization: Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: Approximately 10 years of experience as an IBMi RPG ILE Developer.
• Modernization: Experience with modernizing IBMi applications.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in RPG ILE, RPG Free, CL, and CLLE Programming.
• Database Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of SQL and Embedded SQL.
• Design and Development: Experience with modular design and a commitment to producing clean, maintainable code.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Development Tools: Familiarity with development tools such as RDI, Visual Studio Code.
• Project Management: Experience with Azure DevOps work item tracking for project management preferred.
• Leadership: Leadership experience is considered an asset.
