Compensation
$20-$25 per hour

Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for testing and inspecting products throughout the production cycle, compiling and analyzing statistical data to uphold product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts and documents chemical and physical tests essential for monitoring production processes and assessing the quality of both in-process and finished products (including tensile, bend, torsion, and acid/base chemistry).
  • Identifies and recommends corrective actions for quality deviations.
  • Communicates any quality level discrepancies to the immediate supervisor and shift foreman.
  • Ensures compliance with established standard practices.
  • Offers technical support to department leaders for projects and experimental initiatives.
  • Identifies rejected materials and assists in their reclassification and resolution.
  • Provides technical assistance for experimental and project-related tasks by documenting and correlating operational data and outcomes.
  • Suggests enhancements to processes, standard practices, and product evaluations.
  • Performs process audits as outlined by operational procedures and job practices.
  • Completes other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical applications.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Effective in presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and the public.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and physical assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for inspections, hand-eye coordination, and depth perception.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit frequently.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment with metal materials.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate effectively with others, including recognizing warning sounds from machinery.
  • Must be able to detect various chemicals and gases by smell.
  • Must be capable of squatting, stooping, twisting, climbing, crawling, reaching, grasping, and performing fine manipulation regularly.
