About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled General Dentist to join our team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Houghton, NY. As a General Dentist, you will be responsible for providing quality oral healthcare services to our patients, including children, adults, and geriatric patients with complicated medical histories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, abnormalities, injuries, and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures.
  • Restore health and function of carious, fractured, or otherwise defective teeth.
  • Provide consultation services and monitor quality of patient care, infection control, and safety procedures.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Provide clinical supervision for RDH and Dental Assistant.

Requirements
  • Requires the ability to visualize end results of several related functions involved in the integrated tasks of own work and the work of others subject to check and approval.
  • Tactile sensitivity and high level of manual dexterity for use of dental instrumentation.
  • Must have a Doctorate in Dentistry.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience (which may include residency year).
  • Child Abuse Reporting Certificate.
  • Infection Control Training Certificate.
  • Tobacco Control Continuing Education Certificate.
  • CPR Certification.
  • New York State Dental License.
