Responsibilities:



As a trial attorney, you will handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial. You will demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures. You will possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and be well organized, detail oriented, and able to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload.



The position is classified as a hybrid role, requiring hours in the office and virtually. You will be based in Jericho, NY, and will work in a congenial, team-oriented, and professional environment with skilled support staff.



Qualifications:





  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials

  • Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar

  • 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience

  • Experience working in a paperless environment

  • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling

  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation

  • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunity.

  • Potential salary range: $125,625.00-$160, starting salary will be based on background and experience)

  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year)
