Job Summary:

Cambro Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Assembler II to join our team. As an Assembler II, you will be responsible for performing job duties listed for Assembler I, as well as additional training and duties outlined in the Essential Job Functions section.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capable on-the-job trainer for machines and assembly cells
  • Trained as backup for Area Lead and Material Handler
  • Maintain housekeeping standards at all times
  • Perform sanding, polishing, cleaning, assembly, and packing job tasks as assigned
  • Flexible to work on all packing/assembly operations, including Camshelving, Bus Box, Coldfest, and more
  • Operate necessary assembly equipment with proper training
  • Read and follow assembly schedule, write tickets, and make labels
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily to perform job successfully
  • Follow all safety procedures required in the work area, wear PPE as needed, and report safety issues
  • Perform effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treat everyone with respect
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria and raise concerns and issues to immediate manager
  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service)
  • Understand department's key performance indicators and contribute to achieve these goals both individually and as a team

Additional Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible, and open to possible schedule changes to meet business needs

Requirements:

  • Applicable work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be a good team player, self-motivated, and open-minded, able to work with minimal supervision, meet and maintain high-quality work standards, and adapt quickly to new projects/assignments
