Furthermore, their compact design facilitates economical delivery and installation, making them a flexible and cost-effective energy solution.

Position Overview:

Mattur is in search of a proficient electrical engineer with substantial expertise in power electronics, inverter design, and grid integration. The ideal candidate will also possess experience guiding electrical products through the UL certification process. This role is crucial for the development and enhancement of innovative products and solutions, ensuring exceptional performance and dependability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Power Electronics Design

  • Design, prototype, test, and finalize a DC to AC power inverter for Mattur's wind turbines, ensuring adherence to UL certification standards.
  • Conduct independent analog power and printed circuit board (PCB) design utilizing Altium Designer.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues in analog and power circuitry through thorough troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Develop and evaluate high-voltage charge control systems for batteries in compliance with UL standards.
  • Engineer scalable power electronics solutions for mass production, collaborating with manufacturing partners to ensure regulatory compliance.

2. UL Certification

  • Lead Mattur's UL certification processes for all products, including mechanical generators, electronics, wind turbines, and diesel/hybrid generators.
  • Act as the primary contact with UL certification entities, managing communications, drafting and maintaining product specifications and manuals, incorporating design modifications, and overseeing testing protocols.

3. Grid Interconnection

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to develop and implement Mattur's grid interconnection strategy, leading the technical design.
  • Engage with utility companies to facilitate Mattur's grid interconnection capabilities.
  • Engineer and develop comprehensive cabling solutions for interconnecting Mattur products, ensuring reliable power transmission for both grid-tied and standalone applications.
  • Create electrical schematics and connections for off-grid power plants, incorporating solar, wind, batteries, hydro, and other renewable energy sources.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's or PhD degree is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of electrical design principles.
  • Proficient in using Altium Designer, LTspice, Python, T.I.N.A., LabVIEW.
  • Experience with the UL certification process.
  • Familiarity with grid-tied components.
  • Experience with large, distributed power systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems, including cabling and monitoring.
  • Experience with grid connection and interfacing, adhering to UL and NEC standards.
  • Prior experience in a rapid prototyping or high-velocity product development environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in practical, on-site work, successfully translating designs into functional prototypes and final products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
