Position Overview:

Company Profile:

A leading semiconductor packaging firm is in search of a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in Signal and Power Integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation and extensive experience in signal and power integrity as it pertains to semiconductor integrated circuit package design. This role involves direct collaboration with clients, package design engineers, simulation experts, business units, research and development teams, and assembly operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of pertinent SIPI experience.
  • Solid expertise in Electromagnetics and High-Speed Transmission Line principles related to signal and power integrity.
  • Skilled in time and frequency domain modeling, utilizing 2D and 3D simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Cadence/Sigrity, and ADS.
  • Familiarity with IC package layout tools, including Cadence APD and SiP.
  • Knowledge of advanced high-speed package design and simulation to achieve optimal electrical performance.
  • Experience with high-speed bus design compliance standards, including DDR5, PCIe5, 56 GBPS, and 112 GBPS PAM4.
  • Proven verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service experience to engage professionally with clients, global design and simulation teams, and EDA tool vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with over 10 years of experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional development teams on a global scale.
  • Understanding of the Outsourced Assembly and Test (OSAT) industry, along with knowledge of substrate manufacturing and assembly processes.
