Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to provide technical expertise and support for our Medical Management applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing system performance, researching system failures, and collaborating with vendors and business staff to resolve system problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and management of configuration and support for a specialized medical management application, including its suite of applications and database system.
  • Gain a complete and ongoing understanding of all the functionality of the software to be able to offer software solution options to internal and external clients.
  • Develop proficiency and expertise in application configuration/import/export functionality and creation of custom modules utilizing vendor-delivered utilities.
  • Perform code-set updates to application, to ensure compliance with new releases.
  • Perform quality assurance of vendor-delivered and/or custom application modules.
  • Prepare and/or obtain test data. Conduct application testing. Evaluate test results/defect logs and communicate results to developers and vendors.
  • Assist manager and technical lead in evaluation of system requirements and provide support to isolate problems in operating procedures, systems software, and computer programs.
  • Work closely with vendors, developers, and business to coordinate project activities for programs and systems.
  • Provide technical expertise, secondary support, and system knowledge to Service Desk Support Technicians in relation to problem solving issues with the application.
  • Maintain security standards and policies relating to system access over networks.
  • Serve on project teams.
  • Participate in regularly-scheduled project review/status meetings internally and with client departments.
  • Serve as a technical and functional resource to business units.
  • Consistently follow standard change management processes. Document and evaluate impact of required changes to the various systems. Participate in plans, schedules and communicates changes prior to implementation.
