Program Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Planning Specialist to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Program Planning and Controls (PP&C) team, you will be responsible for executing cost and/or schedule management for various spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the creation of integrated cost and schedule baselines in Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra
  • Partner with Blue's Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support spaceflight systems
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Master Schedules, and control account and IPT level budgets
  • Coordinate status updates and regular cost and schedule forecast updates
  • Generate actionable metrics, key performance indicators, and reporting to inform program leadership and influence future plan updates

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management, or other highly analytical field
  • 5+ years of program finance/business analytics experience or program scheduling support for government or EVMS-required programs
  • Broad/deep scheduling and/or cost controls skillset, including proficiency with resource-loaded schedules using Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or other software
  • Experience with large project data sets, project planning efforts, and integrating program cost and schedules
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience establishing new programs
  • Proven record of hands-on development and implementation of company-wide process improvements
  • IPMR Customer Deliverables on EVM-required contracts
  • P6, Deltek, COBRA, Empower, or other cost/schedule integration and analysis tool experience
  • Successful support of programs through DCMA/DCAA, joint site surveillance, or other government audits
  • Proposal support including pricing for bids requiring certified pricing
  • MBA, or Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager)
