About the Role

King County's Wastewater Treatment Division is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Program Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance Section, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance program for our treatment plants and associated facilities.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance work orders, including prioritizing tasks and allocating resources.
  • Oversee and evaluate maintenance backlogs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide regular reports to management and other stakeholders on maintenance activities and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance techniques and principles in an industrial environment.
  • Experience working with automated maintenance information reporting systems and database software applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and system problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
