Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Program Specialist to join our team at King County's Wastewater Treatment Division. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance Section, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of our treatment plants and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive predictive and preventative maintenance program for assigned treatment plants and facilities.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance work orders, including prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and evaluate maintenance backlogs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of work activities.
  • Provide regular reports to section management and other stakeholders on maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance techniques and principles in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with predictive methods such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot equipment and system problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and experience with Maximo or similar software.
  • Experience with asset validation and mobile electronic database update programs.
  • Knowledge of labor, materials, costs, and skill requirements for maintenance work orders.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working a 40-hour work week, with a hybrid 3 days on-site/1 day telework schedule. Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
