Job Overview

Our client, a prominent Japanese IT firm, is in search of a Financial Operations Coordinator to join their team.


Location:
New York, NY 10017

Compensation:
Annual salary range of $50,000 - $55,000, accompanied by comprehensive benefits and a 401K plan.

Employment Type:
Non-Exempt

Working Hours:
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Note that actual working hours may vary based on business requirements, and all employees are expected to work in-office at least twice a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily accounting tasks, including processing invoices and managing accounts receivable and payable.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly while providing support for audit inquiries.
  • Engage in team meetings, company gatherings, and participate in training sessions or webinars as necessary.
  • Input financial transactions into accounting software to generate reports and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of preparing clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work, manage multiple tasks under pressure, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience in a diverse workplace and awareness of intercultural dynamics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese, with strong business-level communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and a willingness to learn new software, including ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the capability to work independently.
  • An Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Professional integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Eagerness to learn new processes and seek clarification when needed.
  • Additional accounting certifications are advantageous.
