Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical care services to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with physicians and the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Administer oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Manage airways and provide ventilation support as needed
  • Monitor and maintain patient vital signs and respiratory status
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy

Work Schedule

This role requires a 7am-7pm work schedule, with every third weekend rotation and occasional call shifts.
