About the Role
UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our team. As a General Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing professional medical services to patients, including abdominal and breast surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides professional medical services to general surgery patients, including abdominal and breast surgery.
- Exercises independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients.
- Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care, and other health and medical services.
- Consults and counsels with patients and families, providing health and medical education.
- Refers patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other healthcare professionals.
- Documents medical and clinical care in the patient's medical record.
- Supervises other medical professionals.
Requirements
- Unrestricted MD/DO license in NC or eligible.
- BC/BE by the American Board of Surgery.
