Clinical Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations Director to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations and clinical program development, ensuring that our organization's long-term goals are met.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Clinical Operations: Oversee clinical operations and clinical program development, ensuring alignment with our organization's overall strategy.
- Provide Leadership: Provide leadership, planning, organization, staffing, coordination, and evaluation for clinical activities.
- Maintain Clinical Responsibilities: Maintain clinical responsibilities consistent with appointment in respective clinical department.
- Enhance Quality: Work with department and divisional directors to enhance quality, add value, reduce clinical costs, and improve clinical outcomes.
- Resolve Conflicts: Aid in the oversight of provider performance and work with department and divisional leadership to resolve conflicts and disruptive behavior.
- Recruit Personnel: Assist and support the institute in the recruitment of personnel.
- Improve Patient Satisfaction: Identify areas of opportunity to enhance patient satisfaction and service of the institute while developing and initiating plans to improve performance.
- Compliance: Assist in issues and areas of concern as it relates to compliance with regulatory bodies and develop approaches to better enhance and rectify areas of concern.
- Fiscal Goals: Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring performance to budgeted targets and actively support achieving institute and organizational fiscal goals.
- Strategic Planning: Actively participate in the strategic planning program for the institute.
- Education and Training: Support the educational programs within the institute and work with educational and operational leadership in creating effective approaches to delivering care and training to physicians and students.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience in clinical operations and quality improvement.
